Ethylene & MEG prices rise in Southeast Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices rose and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged were assessed in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA price increased and were quoted at US$ 895/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices moved up and were assessed in the range of RMB 6300/ton to RMB 6350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed varied sentiments in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were in the range off US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged at US$ 1425/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed stable in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in European international as well as in domestic markets at US$ 1260/ton and € 935/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were assessed at US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices went up and were offered in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept unchanged in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1310/ton and US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8500/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1150/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8025/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8975/ton to RMB 9025/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were quoted at RMB 9000/ton, RMB 11000/ton and RMB 9450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at US$ 1225/ton, US$ 1505/ton, and US$ 1280/ton, respectively.
