PX, PTA & Ethylene prices surge in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mixed sentiments in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were assessed at US$ 9050/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped and were assessed in the range of RMB 6275/ton to RMB 6325/ton.
 
Ethylene prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range off US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices rose and were quoted at US$ 1445/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in European domestic market and were offered at US$ 1260/ton and € 935/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices decreased to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton, and some deals were offered in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1290/ton and US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8025/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8925/ton to RMB 8975/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were assessed at RMB 9000/ton, RMB 11000/ton and RMB 9450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at US$ 1225/ton, US$ 1505/ton, and US$ 1280/ton, respectively.
