MEG prices drop in Chinese international market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were assessed at US$ 1200/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.

PTA prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 6275/ton to RMB 6325/ton.

Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1445/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international market at US$ 1260/ton, and declined in European domestic market to € 910/ton.

MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed stable in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.

In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton, and some deals were offered in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1290/ton and US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8600/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8025/ton.

PSF prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were unchanged in the range of RMB 8925/ton to RMB 8975/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined to RMB 8900/ton and RMB 9400/ton, while DTY prices were unchanged at RMB 11000/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY declined to US$ 1215/ton and US$ 1275/ton, while DTY prices increased to US$ 1515/ton.
