MEG prices drop in Chinese markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 1200/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 6225/ton to RMB 6275/ton.
 
Ethylene prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed at US$ 1445/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 52.50 cents/pound to 53.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market to US$ 1230/ton, while they increased in European domestic market to € 915/ton.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained stable at US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 6600/ton to RMB 6650/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton, and some deals were assessed in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1290/ton and US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8025/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged in the range of RMB 8925/ton to RMB 8975/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY were steady at RMB 8900/ton and RMB 9400/ton, respectively, while DTY prices declined to RMB 10900/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY kept steady at US$ 1215/ton and US$ 1275/ton, while DTY prices declined to US$ 1495/ton.
