Organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), along with support of Al-Harthi Exhibition Center and Al-Naseej Al-Arabi Company, the six-day fair is considered to be the premier event for the entire textile and clothing industry of the country.
At a press conference to announce the event, Mohiuddin Hakami, assistant secretary general of JCCI, said the aim of the event is to enhance international investments in the textile and clothing sector of the country, and rehabilitation of youth in the sector with the help of the textile and fashion committee at JCCI, with the objective of developing the domestic textile and clothing industry.
Chairman of the textile and clothing committee at JCCI, Mohammed Al Shehri, said that the event will include exhibitors from every segment of the textile industry, including local merchants, manufacturers as well as fashion designers.
The six-day expo is being organized with the intention of introducing new modern techniques and production methods that are used internationally to local manufacturers and entrepreneurs, in order to boost the national industry, he added.
Over 120 domestic as well as international textile and apparel firms from different countries including Germany, Italy, France, Malaysia, Pakistan, the US and UAE would be showcasing their latest products during the exhibition.
