PX, PTA & MEG prices rise in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1145/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1160/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged were assessed in the range of US$ 870/ton to US$ 875/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were offered at US$ 870/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 865/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert in the range of RMB 6100/ton to RMB 6150/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asia. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed at US$ 1425/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international and domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1230/ton and € 920/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1290/ton and US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were quoted at RMB 8750/ton, RMB 10900/ton and RMB 9400/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY were steady at US$ 1190/ton, US$ 1495/ton and US$ 1275/ton, respectively.
