Polyester POY prices rise in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1185/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1170/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton.

PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 875/ton to US$ 880/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and in the range of RMB 6200/ton to RMB 6250/ton.

Ethylene prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of 51.50 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international and domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.

MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 6600/ton to RMB 6650/ton.

In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were assessed between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.

PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1475/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1375/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8600/ton to RMB 8675/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY prices increased to RMB 8825/ton, while DTY prices declined to RMB 10800/ton and FDY prices kept steady and were offered at RMB 9400/ton. In the export market, offers for POY increased to US$ 1180/ton, whereas prices of DTY and FDY remained unchanged at US$ 1455/ton and US$ 1255/ton, respectively.
