China Petrochemical to shut CPL plant for maintenance

Taiwan-based China Petrochemical Development Corp (CPDC), which is one of the top five global caprolactam (CPL) producers, is going to shut a CPL plant for maintenance turnaround for a period of one month.
“The CPL plant located at Toufen would be shut in mid-April this year for a period of about one month,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
The Toufen CPL plant has production capacity of 100 kt/year.
Caprolactam is the main raw material for making nylon 6 fibers and resin.
