PX prices surge in Far East & Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices went up and were assessed at US$ 1185/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1205/ton.
 
PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept unchanged in the range of RMB 6120/ton to RMB 6170/ton.
 
Ethylene prices were stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were offered at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1170/ton and € 865/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were stable at US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged in the range of RMB 6700/ton to RMB 6760/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8600/ton to RMB 8650/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8350/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable in the range of RMB 8800/ton to RMB 8850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were quoted at RMB 9350/ton, RMB 10900/ton and RMB 9675/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY stayed unchanged at US$ 1260/ton, US$ 1470/ton, and US$ 1295/ton, respectively.
