PTA prices inch down marginally in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were offered at US$ 1145/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market dropped and were offered in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton.
 
PTA prices inched down marginally in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 865/ton to US$ 870/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices fell and were quoted at US$ 860/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 865/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept steady and were offered in the range of RMB 5975/ton to RMB 6025/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international and domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1215/ton and € 885/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices were stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained steady at US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 6575/ton to RMB 6625/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8200/ton to RMB 8250/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady in the range of RMB 8650/ton to RMB 8700/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY decreased to RMB 8975/ton and RMB 9350/ton, while DTY prices stayed steady at RMB 10850/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY dropped to US$ 1205/ton and US$ 1245/ton, while DTY prices remained steady at US$ 1460/ton.
