MEG prices decline marginally in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices inched up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were offered at US$ 1235/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton.
 
PTA prices increased marginally in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were offered in the range of US$ 875/ton to US$ 880/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 6300/ton to RMB 6350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international market at US$ 1205/ton, while they increased in the domestic market to € 895/ton.
 
MEG prices declined marginally in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 6725/ton to RMB 6775/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips were stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady in the range of RMB 8675/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY increased to RMB 9150/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained unchanged at RMB 10700/ton and RMB 9350/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY surged to US$ 1230/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained stable at US$ 1440/ton, and US$ 1245/ton, respectively.
