PX & PTA prices move up in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices inched up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were assessed at US$ 1245/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton.
 
PTA prices moved up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices shot up and were offered at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of RMB 6450/ton to RMB 6500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as domestic markets and were at offered at US$ 1205/ton and € 895/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased marginally in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were offered in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 8450/ton to RMB 8500/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were quoted in the range of RMB 8675/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY increased marginally to RMB 9200/ton and RMB 10725/ton, while FDY prices remained steady at RMB 9350/ton. In the export market, offers for POY surged to US$ 1235/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained stable at US$ 1440/ton and US$ 1245/ton, respectively.
