PX prices drop in Asia; MEG prices increase

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged marginally and were quoted at US$ 1240/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1270/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted at US$ 895/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 6450/ton to RMB 6500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as domestic markets and were at assessed at US$ 1205/ton and € 895/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices jumped and were quoted at US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8450/ton to RMB 8500/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were steady at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were stable at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were offered in the range of RMB 8675/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were steady at RMB 9200/ton, RMB 10725/ton and RMB 9350/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at US$ 1235/ton, US$ 1440/ton, and US$ 1245/ton, respectively.
