The Iranian capital city of Tehran is all geared up to host the 11th edition of the Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF), scheduled to be held at the IRIB International Conference Center, from June 7 to 8, 2014.

Organized by the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) of Iran, the two-day forum aims to bring leading international firms in the sector under the same roof to discuss the future trends of the industry, including Iran’s new investment program called ‘Another Leap Forward’, which intends to further develop the country’s upper, mid and downstream petrochemical sectors, in order to increase national petrochemical output to 100 million tons per annum.

Over 228 Iranian petrochemical firms, as well as 36 international firms from 15 different countries including Germany, France, China, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia and Vietnam would be partaking in the event.

The IPF forum would address topics such as ‘Innovations and Solutions for Petrochemical Industry’, ‘International Cooperation in Iran’s Petrochemical Development’, ‘New Technologies’, and more. The event would have speakers such as Linde vice president Gerhard Beysel, Karl Schmidt Spedition director Wolfgang Hoppmann and others.

An exhibition would also be held parallel to the event where the participating firms would be able to showcase their latest and sustainable petrochemical products, including petrochemical manufacturing machineries and equipments.

Iran exported petrochemicals worth US$ 10.7 billion during the last Iranian calendar year that ended on March 20, 2014, registering a rise of 1 percent year-on-year, as per the NPC data.
