MEG prices inch up in Chinese international market

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were offered in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1230/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton.
 
PTA prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept unchanged and were offered at US$ 905/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6540/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1455/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were offered at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices were stable in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1225/ton and € 920/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of RMB 7000/ton to RMB 7050/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8550/ton to RMB 8600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8225/ton to RMB 8275/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1400/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were stable at US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY kept unchanged at RMB 9300/ton and RMB 10750/ton, respectively, while FDY prices increased to RMB 9600/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY remained steady at US$ 1245/ton and US$ 1440/ton, respectively, while FDY prices increased to US$ 1275/ton.
