According to the INE data, the IPRIX of overall exports from Spain also incurred a decrease of 2.8 percent in the month of April 2014 compared to the same month in 2013. The total IPRIX recorded in April is nine points above than the IPRIX registered in March 2014.
The IPRIX in the sector of manufacture of garments also registered a fall of 1.1 percent in April 2014, compared to the same month last year.
Meanwhile, the Import Price Index (IPRIM) data from the INE reveals that the IPRIM of the textile industry in Spain has also recorded a decline of 1.0 percent year-on-year in April 2014.
The IPRIM registered in the manufacture of garment sector of Spain also dipped by 1.2 percent in the month of April, compared to the same month last year.
The IPRIM of the overall Spanish imports recorded a plunge of 2.4 percent year-on-year in the month of April, which is one and a half points above than the IPRIM registered during the previous month.
The IPRIX measures the change in prices of industrial products manufactured in Spain for export to other countries, on a monthly basis, whereas the IPRIM indicates the monthly changes in prices of industrial products imported by Spain from other countries.
