Invista & Eucodis partner on industrial enzyme development

INVISTA and Eucodis Bioscience, an Austrian biotechnology company with strong expertise in enzyme engineering and industrial enzyme development, announce a collaboration for the screening and engineering of enzymes to further develop bio-derived processes for the production of industrial chemicals.

The collaboration will leverage INVISTA’s capabilities in biotechnology and catalysis, its knowledge of the chemicals industry, and Eucodis’ enzyme discovery and engineering capabilities to assist in the development of new, bio-derived routes to industrial chemicals.

“Eucodis Bioscience has a proven track record in enzyme engineering by applying its leading-edge technologies,” said Karl Hübler, CEO of Eucodis Bioscience. “We are very excited to provide these services to an innovative, globe-leading company like INVISTA to create tailor-made enzyme solutions for manufacturing industrial chemicals and polymers.”

INVISTA believes biotechnology has the potential to significantly improve the cost and availability of several chemicals and raw materials that are used to produce its current products.
