PTA & Ethylene prices show mixed trend in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept inert and were offered at US$ 1260/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.
 
PTA prices showed mixed trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted at US$ 970/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were quoted in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6900/ton to RMB 6950/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices moved up and were assessed in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1280/ton and € 970/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices inched up and were offered at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7250/ton to RMB 7300/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were offered in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
 
PSF prices kept steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices stayed unchanged at US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY increased to RMB 9850/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained stable at RMB 11250/ton and RMB 10050/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY increased to US$ 1330/ton, while DTY and FDY prices kept stable at US$ 1515/ton and US$ 1345/ton, respectively.
