Ethylene prices decline in US; steady elsewhere

Paraxylene (PX) prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept steady and were assessed at US$ 1260/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were assessed at US$ 965/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 6900/ton to RMB 6950/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were offered at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1280/ton and € 970/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices inched up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices moved up and were offered in the range of RMB 7250/ton to RMB 7300/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region.  In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained steady at US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices stayed stable and were offered at RMB 9850/ton, RMB 11250/ton and RMB 10050/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained steady at US$ 1330/ton, US$ 1515/ton, and US$ 1345/ton, respectively.
