As always, Dollfus & Muller is participating in ITMA ASIA + CITME 2014, the number one textile machinery show in Asia, which is taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai, China in Hall E-7 and booth C-34

Dollfus & Muller has a history going back more than 200 years and is the result of the merging of two companies in 1995 - Dollfus & Noack and Manufacture Muller. Dollfus & Muller manufactures specialized technical textiles - endless felts and endless belts especially for textile finishing.

Its range of products includes:

Compacting felts:
The Dollfus & Muller Nomex felts (aramid felts) are used on textile compactors or calendering machines in dyeing houses. Knitted fabrics need to be pre-shrunk and stabilized in order to avoid the subsequent shrinkage of the t-shirts or polos in washing machines. For heat-setting processes, carried out between 180-200°C or 350-400°F, Dollfus & Muller has developed heat resistant endless felts made with Nomex (aramid) fibres.

Belts for tensionless dryers:
The Dollfus & Muller open mesh conveyor belts are used to dry, to shrink and to stabilize the fabric in tensionless & relax dryers. The fabric, which has been stressed during earlier processes (knitting, dyeing & squeezing), needs to be relaxed. This is usually achieved by agitating the fabric between two belts, either by hot air (between 150 & 180°C/ 300 & 350°F) or other mechanical means. Dollfus & Muller has the widest range of dryer conveyors worldwide which include Nomex belts, PTFE-coated fibreglass belts, PTFE belts, Kevlar belts, Ryton belts and PEEK belts for relax dryers.

Compactor PTFE sheets and Tensionless dryer:
For a better introduction of the knitted fabric and its shrinkage adjustment, Dollfus & Muller is supplying different kinds of PTFE-coated sheets (100% modified PTFE, or with Kevlar and fibreglass fabrics) of all thicknesses which can be used on the compactors or tensionless dryers. Inside the Santex dryers, the PTFE-coated sheet is also called Jumping device and is used to give the overfeed at the entrance of the dryer.

Roll coverings for textile processing units:
In order to have a better friction on the rolls and to open the fabric at the entrance of the processing machines, many different types of roll coverings can be used - felted, smooth or slightly abrasive. For knit dyeing houses, Dollfus & Muller offers specially roll coverings for compacting machines or tensionless dryer entrance exit rolls.
