PTA & MEG prices surge in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 1315/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1295/ton.
 
PTA prices inched up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted at US$ 970/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1285/ton and € 1015/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1020/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips stayed unaltered in the range of US$ 1335/ton to US$ 1375/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1385/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices kept inert in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept stable at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept steady and were assessed in the range ofRMB 9450/ton to RMB 9500/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices increased and were offered at RMB 10300/ton, RMB 11450/ton and RMB 10450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY increased to US$ 1405/ton, US$ 1550/ton and US$ 1410/ton, respectively.
