Paraxylene prices continue to move up in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices continued to increase in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices moved up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were offered at US$ 1425/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept stable and were offered at US$ 955/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.
 
Ethylene prices continued to show steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1385/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1290/ton and € 1020/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept steady and were offered at US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices were stable in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 7500/ton to RMB 7550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept steady in the range of US$ 1355/ton to US$ 1395/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1365/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, while talked prices were stable in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9325/ton to RMB 9375/ton.
 
PSF prices kept steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1415/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1315/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9900/ton to RMB 9950/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices stayed steady and were offered at RMB 10550/ton, RMB 11600/ton and RMB 10500/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY were stable at US$ 1450/ton, US$ 1580/ton, and US$ 1430/ton, respectively.
