Crown floors unveils latest trend of grey shades in domestic carpet floorings. James Caldwell, Crown Floors, says that greys are the hottest things in domestic carpet right now, “There is no doubt that we are seeing a shift away from beige into grey and this colour is revealing itself to be just as complex, with different shades and tones going to make up a beautiful array of colours for both traditional and contemporary style homes with equal poise. On the natural side of the grey palette, we are certainly seeing shades of stone increase their influence.

“Thankfully, we are also seeing pattern make a return to homes. Our Crown Wilton collection is popular, with its traditional style and stripe designs ticking the boxes for most homes. Stripes have been the big mover in pattern over the last few years and this shows little sign of waning.

“Traditional designs are certainly less complex than their predecessors, with geometric pindot styles providing a touch of elegance in regal colours such as deep green and rich blue. Alongside, stripe designs are taking a bold approach, with more colourful combinations proving that homeowners are becoming more adventurous in their choices.”
