PX prices improve in Far-East Asian market

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices moved up and were offered in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices improved and were quoted at US$ 1460/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market continued to increase and were assessed in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton.
 
PTA prices inched up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1020/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were offered at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
Ethylene prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices went up in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1320/ton and € 1060/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined marginally in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dropped and were offered at US$ 1025/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept inert in the range of RMB 7550/ton to RMB 7600/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1365/ton to US$ 1405/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9550/ton to RMB 9600/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept inert at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained steady at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 10025/ton to RMB 10075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept inert and were offered at RMB 10600/ton, RMB 11700/ton and RMB 10650/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained steady at US$ 1455/ton, US$ 1590/ton, and US$ 1440/ton, respectively.
