Luxury etailer Amara announces three key appointments

Amara.com is going from strength to strength. What started as a small shop based in the Essex countryside, is now the biggest website of its kind. Offering luxury interior and lifestyle brands and an interior design service, Amara.com have carved a loyal customer base in a competitive market.
 
Amara announce they have hired three key positions integral to the development of their UK and International business.
 
Andrew Hood, CEO of Amara said, “To enable us to grow in the current UK market and internationally, we needed to find key people who can assist in taking Amara to the next level. Each has been hired for their wealth of knowledge of the industry and their passion for the brand. All will play a vital role in Amara’s future plan, one being to launch our new French website towards the end of this year.”
 
The new positions are as follows:
Lizzie Eddleston, previously Junior Press Officer at M&S, has joined as PR Manager. During Lizzie’s seven years at M&S she worked on some of their largest campaigns such as the launch of Rosie for Autograph lingerie collection. Lizzie also brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the PR industry along with many key journalist contacts.
 
Kate Wales, previously Bed, Bath and Home Fragrance Buyer for Harrods, joins as a Senior Buyer. Kate worked at Harrods for two and a half years and introduced many key brands to the department store such as Uchino, Claudia Barbari, Roberto Cavalli, Panpuri and Celso de lemos.
 
Finally Matthew Sanchez, formerly Ecommerce Category Merchandiser for Office Holdings, joins as Senior Merchandiser. During Matthew’s eight years he implemented many systems such as Midas, Elucid and the platform integration onto Hybris. He also managed and oversaw the re-launch of the Offspring website, Office’s sister company.
 
Andrew added, “We’re fortunate to have found three candidates of their calibre who share our ethos for superb customer service and exceptional quality. The next 18 months are going to be key for Amara and the new team.”
