Asian PX prices continue to show upward trend

Paraxylene (PX) prices continued to show upward trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were offered at US$ 1405/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.
 
PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were assessed at US$ 975/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market were unchanged and remained in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7225/ton to RMB 7275/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1465/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of 62.50 cents/pound to 63.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unaltered in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1330/ton and € 1030/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices stayed stable and were offered at US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 7275/ton to RMB 7325/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1415/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept steady in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1435/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1235/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1285/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9200/ton to RMB 9250/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1435/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept inert at US$ 1335/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9850/ton to RMB 9900/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY kept inert at RMB 9850/ton and RMB 10150/ton, respectively, while DTY prices declined to RMB 11400/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY remained steady at US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1375/ton, respectively, where as DTY prices dropped to US$ 1555/ton.
