PX & Ethylene prices inch up in Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1485/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were offered at US$ 1460/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton.
 
PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 990/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices dropped and were offered in the range of 61.50 cents/pound to 62.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets at US$ 1330/ton and € 1015/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices dipped marginally in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept inert in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept steady in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1415/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1435/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1235/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1285/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept stable at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept steady and were offered at RMB 9950/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10200/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at US$ 1355/ton, US$ 1550/ton and US$ 1380/ton, respectively.
