Jul '14
Greenville Colorants (GC) has appointed Howard Printz President of its’ newly formed Global Carpet and Textile Division. Greenville Colorants has been active in textile dyes since the early 1950s having acquired several companies including: International Dyestuff Corporation, Rite Industries, Blackman Uhler, the Yorkshire Chemical Plant, and others. These acquisitions expanded business, broadened product lines, developed an impressive portfolio of intellectual properties, and gave GC the top people in the industry.
GC has historically sold directly to textile customers and has acted as a key supplier to several companies servicing the Carpet Industry.
In a joint announcement Joseph Lynch CEO and Ronald Weiss Chairman of Greenville Colorants stated; “This new organizational structure and allocation of resources will intensify Greenville's efforts in textiles and carpets. And, to keep on point GC is putting the top guy in the industry in charge of the efforts, Howard L. Printz. Howard has a wealth of knowledge and global network of partners developed over many years. His abilities, expertise and unrivaled passion for the business will serve the company well.”
Howard Printz added, “I am delighted with the appointment and Greenville's increased focus on Textiles and Carpets. The new organization is already responding to some of the crippling effects of the global supply issues in the dyestuff business by offering an array of unique supply solutions.”
Headquarters for The Global Textile Division will be announced later pending a yet unannounced acquisition of a chemical manufacturing company in North Georgia.
Greenville Colorants, with corporate offices in Jersey City, NJ and their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC, sets the standard in value-added processing and distribution of dyes and specialty chemicals to the textile, paper and other specialty industries, such as ink, plastics, paint, stains, mulch, seed coatings and more throughout North America and Europe. Greenville offers over 2000 dye products in both liquid and powdered form.
