Culp adds Chumbley as Executive VP - Upholstry Fabrics

Chumbley brings over 30 years of experience with Culp to this position. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Culp Upholstery Fabrics and has held various senior management positions in finance, operations and manufacturing.

He joined the company in 1984 as controller for one of Culp’s upholstery plants. Chumbley holds a bachelor’s degree from Radford University. Commenting on the announcement, Saxon noted, “Boyd Chumbley brings extensive experience and knowledge of our upholstery fabrics business to this position. During his tenure with the company, we have seen significant changes in our business model as we have evolved from a primarily capital-intensive, manufacturing company to a more agile and innovative, marketing-focused business.
