PTA prices show downward trend in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1395/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices fell and were quoted at US$ 1370/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.
 
PTA prices showed downward trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1030/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed at US$ 1520/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were quoted in the range of 62.50 cents/pound to 63.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1330/ton and € 1030/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased marginally in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices inched up and were quoted at US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept inert in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 9200/ton to RMB 9250/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region.  In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained steady at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 9850/ton to RMB 9900/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained stable at RMB 9900/ton and RMB 11400/ton, while FDY prices declined to RMB 11200/ton. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY increased to US$ 1355/ton, US$ 1560/ton and US$ 1390/ton, respectively.
