Asian benzene trends slip last week from low energy prices

In Asian markets, benzene prices went down last week, due to lower upstream energy prices and downstream product prices as well as sluggish buying trends in the region.
In Korea, benzene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1340-1375/ton FOB Korea last week, vis-à-vis US$ 1360-1405/ton in its previous week.
They were assessed at US$ 1300/ton in Korea, yesterday.
In Japan, benzene prices followed similar trend as in Korea last week. Speculators assessed the spot prices of benzene in the range of US$ 1345-1380/ton CFR Japan last week against US$ 1365-1410/ton in its previous week.
Japanese benzene prices were assessed at US$ 1305/ton yesterday.
In India too, benzene prices declined last week and were spotted in the range of US$ 1350-1385/ton CFR India as compared to US$ 1370-1415/ton in its previous week.
Indian benzene prices were assessed at US$ 1310/ton on August 6.
