Benzene prices slump in Europe & gain in US market

Benzene prices dipped sharply in Europe on August 7.
They fell mainly due to declining naphtha prices, weak demand and fall in the downstream prices.
Benzene prices in Europe fell from USD 1400/ton to USD 1375/ton, a sharp drop of 1.79 percent.
On the other hand, benzene prices gained in US market by 6 cents and were offered in the range of 480 cents/gallon to 483 cents/gallon.
