MEG prices decline in Chinese international market

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1425/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices also increased and were quoted at US$ 1015/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1485/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1510/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 66.00 cents/pound to 66.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1305/ton and € 1005/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept stable in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9200/ton to RMB 9250/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices stayed steady at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained steady at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11350/ton and RMB 10175/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at US$ 1335/ton, US$ 1555/ton and US$ 1350/ton, respectively.
