BG PET Chips prices drop in China & Far East Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices fell and were quoted at US$ 1355/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton.

PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1015/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.

Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1485/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained inert and were quoted at US$ 1510/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of 66.00 cents/pound to 66.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market to US$ 1300/ton, and kept inert in domestic markets at € 1005/ton.

MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices rose and were offered in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept unchanged in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips declined and were in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1385/ton. Some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1355/ton to US$ 1395/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers also declined and were in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9200/ton to RMB 9250/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices dropped and were offered in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9200/ton.

PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained stable at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept inert at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY stayed steady at RMB 9850/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10250/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at US$ 1350/ton, US$ 1565/ton and US$ 1400/ton, respectively.
