Tight availability push European benzene prices last week

Benzene prices show upward trend in Europe and US last week. Rise in European benzene prices is attributed to tight product availability in the region.
European benzene prices were spotted in the range of US$ 1405-1440/ton FOB Rotterdam last week as compared to US$ 1375-1420/ton in its previous week.
However, European prices slipped and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton on August 19.
In the US market too, prices went up last week and were assessed in the range of 490-510 cents/gallon FOB US, as compared to 475-495 cents/gallon in its previous week.
But in this week, US benzene prices went down and were assessed at 490-495 cents/gallon on August 18.
