Ample availability weakens Asian MEG trends this week

Due to poor feedstock prices coupled with ample product availability in the region, Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) prices declined marginally in Asia this week and fell around 0.50% w-o-w.

Average prices of MEG went down by US$ 5/ton in the S E Asian market and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton.

In the Chinese USD market, average selling offers for MEG too declined by US$ 5/ton compared to the previous week and were in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, selling offers for MEG also went down from the earlier week and stood in the range of RMB 7,400 /ton to RMB 7,450/ton.
