MEG prices drop in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1295/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept inert and were assessed at US$ 1270/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton.

PTA prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 975/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 6945/ton to RMB 6995/ton.

Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range of 70.00 cents/pound to 70.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1250/ton and € 975/ton, respectively.

MEG prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined in the range of RMB 7120/ton to RMB 7170/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.

In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
