PTA & MEG prices decline in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined marginally in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were assessed at US$ 1255/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1295/ton.
 
PTA prices went down in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were assessed at US$ 970/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped and were offered in the range of RMB 6920/ton to RMB 6970/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed stable trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were offered in the range of 70.00 cents/pound to 70.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1250/ton and € 975/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices plunged and were offered in the range of RMB 7110/ton to RMB 7160/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips declined marginally in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 8925/ton to RMB 8975/ton.
 
PSF prices decreased in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices declined to US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 9600/ton to RMB 9650/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11450/ton and RMB 10450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY remained steady at US$ 1340/ton, whereas DTY and FDY prices increased to US$ 1575/ton and US$ 1435/ton, respectively.
