Asian PTA prices inch down during week ending Sept 5

In Asian market, buying trends for Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) followed bearish trend and prices decreased due to poor feedstock prices coupled with weak upstream energy value.
During this week ending Sept 6, F E Asian selling offers for PTA decreased by around 2% as compared to the previous week ending Aug 29.
PTA prices in F E Asian market went down by around 2% this week ending Sept 5 from last week ending Aug 29 and were assessed in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 975/ton.
In S E Asian market, selling offers for PTA too went down by 1.97% and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 1000/ton this week as compared to US$ 1000-1020/ton in its previous week.
In India, prices went down by 2.43% this week and stood in the range of US$ 1000-1010/ton, vis-à-vis US$ 1010-1035/ton last week.
In China, PTA dipped by 2.01% and was quoted in the range of US$ 970-980/ton this week against US$ 980-995/ton in the previous week.
