PX prices rise; PTA stable in Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1260/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices stable and were offered at US$ 960/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 6880/ton to RMB 6930/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed inert trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of 68.00 cents/pound to 68.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1185/ton and € 935/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices stayed steady and were quoted at US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of RMB 7090/ton to RMB 7150/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept inert in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9125/ton to RMB 9175/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8850/ton to RMB 8900/ton.
 
PSF prices kept steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept stable at US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9575/ton to RMB 9625/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11450/ton and RMB 10450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at US$ 1340/ton, US$ 1575/ton and US$ 1430/ton, respectively.
