Asian PX, PTA & MEG prices decline

Paraxylene (PX) prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton.
 
PTA prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 965/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were offered at US$ 940/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices plunged and were offered in the range of RMB 6810/ton to RMB 6760/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed stable trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went up and were quoted in the range of 69.00 cents/pound to 69.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1170/ton and € 925/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined in the range of RMB 6900/ton to RMB 6950/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were conclude in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 8975/ton to RMB 9025/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips stayed steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8875/ton.
 
PSF prices kept stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept inert at US$ 1385/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained steady at US$ 1285/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined to RMB 9650/ton and RMB 10250/ton, respectively, while DTY prices kept inert at RMB 11450/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY went down to US$ 1330/ton and US$ 1405/ton, whereas DTY prices kept steady at US$ 1580/ton.
