Mitsui Chemicals operating naphtha cracker at 100% rate

Mitsui Chemicals, a Japan-based chemicals company listed on the Nikkei and part of the Mitsui conglomerate, is operating a naphtha cracker at 100 percent operating rates.
“We are operating the naphtha cracker at full capacity due to good demand of ethylene in the domestic market,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
The naphtha cracker is located in Osaka and has an annual capacity to produce 450,000 tons of ethylene.
Ethylene is used as a raw material for producing man-made fibre in the textile industry.
