PX & PTA prices decline in Far East Asian market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1215/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices went down and were offered at US$ 930/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 6695/ton to RMB 6745/ton.
 
Ethylene prices continued to maintain steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 70.00 cents/pound to 70.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices decreased in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices rose and were quoted at US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 6840/ton to RMB 6890/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices went down and were assessed in the range of RMB 8875/ton to RMB 8925/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8725/ton to RMB 8775/ton.
 
PSF prices dropped in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1375/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices plunged to US$ 1275/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9395/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY kept inert at RMB 9650/ton and RMB 11450/ton, respectively, while FDY prices decreased to RMB 10200/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY kept stable at US$ 1330/ton and US$ 1580/ton, whereas FDY prices decreased to US$ 1400/ton.
