PTA & PSF prices inch down in Far East Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices went up and were quoted at US$ 1240/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 925/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 6695/ton to RMB 6745/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices rose and were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 71.00 cents/pound to 71.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices stayed stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dropped and were assessed in the range of RMB 6820/ton to RMB 6870/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 8850/ton to RMB 8900/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1170/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 8600/ton to RMB 8650/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices dropped to US$ 1360/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices fell to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dropped and were quoted in the range of RMB 9320/ton to RMB 9325/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY declined to RMB 9600/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10150/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY plunged to US$ 1320/ton, US$ 1570/ton and US$ 1390/ton, respectively.
