PTA, MEG & PSF prices drop in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were quoted at US$ 1225/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices moved down and were quoted in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 920/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 6610/ton to RMB 6660/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices moved up and were quoted in the range of 72.50 cents/pound to 73.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices dropped in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices rose and were offered in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 6820/ton to RMB 6870/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices declined in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1305/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1315/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1325/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 8475/ton to RMB 8525/ton.
 
PSF prices dropped in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices plunged to US$ 1350/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices decreased to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9225/ton to RMB 9250/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY dropped to RMB 9500/ton, RMB 11350/ton and RMB 10000/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY declined to US$ 1305/ton, US$ 1560/ton and US$ 1365/ton, respectively.
