MEG prices up; PTA down in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1210/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.
 
PTA prices dropped in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were offered at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 6535/ton to RMB 6585/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of 75.50 cents/pound to 76.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1120/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices moved down in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept stable and were offered in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices inched up and were assessed in the range of RMB 6490/ton to RMB 6540/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1305/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1315/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept inert in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1325/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 8625/ton to RMB 8675/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips’ prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8325/ton to RMB 8375/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained stable at US$ 1325/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained steady at US$ 1225/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 9075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY dropped to RMB 9300/ton and RMB 9750/ton, respectively, while DTY prices kept stable at RMB 11300/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY fell to US$ 1275/ton and US$ 1325/ton, respectively, whereas DTY prices kept stable at US$ 1555/ton.
