PX, PTA & MEG prices move up in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were quoted at US$ 1215/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market moved down and were offered in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices went up and were offered at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices moved up and were offered in the range of RMB 6545/ton to RMB 6595/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of 75.50 cents/pound to 76.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1120/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 6440/ton to RMB 6490/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1305/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1315/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept inert in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1325/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 8625/ton to RMB 8675/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices dropped and were offered in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8350/ton.
 
PSF prices decreased in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1320/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices plunged to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined to RMB 9250/ton and RMB 9700/ton, respectively, while DTY prices kept inert at RMB 11300/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY declined to US$ 1265/ton and US$ 1320/ton, respectively, whereas DTY prices kept inert at US$ 1555/ton.
