PX & PTA prices gain momentum in Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices gained momentum and were quoted at US$ 1245/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market climbed up and were offered in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were offered at US$ 895/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices inched up and were offered in the range of RMB 6595/ton to RMB 6645/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unaltered and were quoted in the range of 71.50 cents/pound to 72.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1120/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices moved up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept stable and were offered in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went up in the range of RMB 6505/ton to RMB 6555/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1290/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 8575/ton to RMB 8625/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips’ prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1110/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8260/ton to RMB 8310/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept stable at US$ 1320/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept steady at US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9025/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY went down to RMB 9200/ton and RMB 11250/ton, whereas FDY prices kept stable at RMB 9700/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1260/ton and US$ 1550/ton, while FDY prices kept inert at US$ 1320/ton.
