The Cotton Cotlook A average Index declined this week, when compared to the average of previous week.
During this week, the Cotlook A average Index stood at 70.61 cents/pound, down 4.42 cents/pound compared to the average of last week.
In this week, global cotton market prices moved down, mainly from import control in China, coupled with lacklustre cotton shipments.
Cotton prices also fell due to bearish downstream demand and unfavourable market fundamentals, this week.
