Last week global PX prices display mixed trends

Global paraxylene (PX) prices displayed mixed trends in various regional markets last week ending Sept 26, when compared with its previous week ending Sept 19.
In Korea, average PX prices were stable at US$ 1225/ton last week.
In S E Asia, average prices went up by US$ 5/ton to US$ 1250/ton or 0.40 percent last week, as compared to US$ 1245/ton in its previous week.
Prices increased in S E Asia, due to higher feedstock prices and strong demand in the region. Improved demand in downstream products also supported the price increase.
In F E Asia, average prices went down last week by US$ 10/ton or 0.80 percent to US$ 1235/ton against US$ 1245/ton in its previous week.
In Europe, average PX prices went down by US$ 10/ton or 0.85 percent from US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton in its previous week.
In US, average PX prices kept stable at US$ 1185/ton.
In Korea, average PX prices were stable at US$ 1225/ton last week.
In S E Asia, average prices went up by US$ 5/ton to US$ 1250/ton or 0.40 percent last week, as compared to US$ 1245/ton in its previous week.

In US, average PX prices kept stable at US$ 1185/ton.
